Federal Awards is built targeting WCAG 2.2 Level AA. That’s a target we design and test against, not a certified compliance claim - if you hit a barrier, we want to know about it.
What we’ve built in
- Keyboard navigation throughout, including the guided search wizard and results
- Visible focus indicators on every interactive element
- Status information (match results, eligibility blockers) conveyed with icon and text, never color alone
- Full support for reduced-motion preferences - animation is decorative, never required to understand or use the site
- Semantic HTML and native controls (details/summary for FAQs, real buttons and links) instead of custom widgets where a native one works
Known limitations
This is an early-stage product. We haven’t yet run a full assistive-technology audit (screen reader testing across NVDA/JAWS/VoiceOver) - that’s planned before a wider launch, not done. If you use assistive technology and something doesn’t work, please tell us.
